I am a multimedia journalist based in New York City. I recently returned from a reporting fellowship in Moscow sponsored by the Knight Foundation and the International Center for Journalists. Before that, I worked at TIME magazine’s LightBox blog and as a local reporter for New York news site DNAinfo.com.
Previously, I have worked as a journalist and photographer in Russia, Ukraine and South Africa, an arts educator in NYC public schools and a multimedia coordinator. I have an M.A. in international reporting from the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism and a BFA in photography from Tisch School of the Arts (NYU). My work has appeared in publications including TIME LightBox, the New York Times, New York Daily News and City Limits.
I live in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn where I enjoy balcony gardening in the summer and banyas in the winter.
